Environmental Education in Una Una School

Sanctum Una Una team has ten week school program where we teach the locals kids about the underwater world and the importance of waste management. Our classes start from the beach where we collect rubbish from the beaches. It continues from the beach into class room where we teach local kids changing topics each week. After the program finishes we get a new class to teach to.

Every week the kids will learn more about the beautiful creatures that they have underwater, basic knowledge of the corals, how the corals work in our eco system, waste management and how to reduce personal plastic usage.
The Kids have the opportunity to try snorkelling and scuba diving as a part of the training. Sanctum team is happy to show the locals the wonders of the Una Una underwater world.

The kids are also able to take a part in our educational training for gardening. This program will teach the local kids basics of gardening and by helping Sanctum Una Una Garden they are able to receive their scuba diving training for exchange of the help in the resort. Local kid’s have been happy to learn how easy it is to grow vegetables and fruit trees out of the seeds that they can find in every home.

Our guests are welcome to take a part of the school program and join the class and beach clean up.
